Byron Gottwals Books Turns 5!
All About Byron Gottwals Books!
The Byron Gottwals Books started in 2009, two years after the first Gottwals Books opened in Warner Robins. Being the second store, we already knew a lot about how to operate a great used bookstore. We took over the corner space of the Peach Shops, showcasing all of our books in the long front windows. Well, it took off! We were surprised by the response from the locals and the I-75 travelers.
The Byron store is much different now than when it opened. We have new shelves, new paint/decor, and thousands upon thousands more books. We are proud of Gottwals Books #2, and we intend to have a special day to celebrate this 5-year milestone.
Next Friday, September 26th, we will have an all-day event at the Byron store. Put it on your calendars! More details will be announced in next week’s Gottwals Books Newsletter.
What IS a Gottwals and Why Do They Have Walls of Books?
The four Gottwals Books here in middle Georgia are wholly owned and operated by the Gottwals family of Warner Robins. There are only so many miles we can cover in our truck, however, so to reach beyond this region, we offer franchise arrangements.
Our franchise stores, called “Walls of Books,” use our principles and methods for managing inventory. We provide support and expertise and our franchisees bring local connections and their own personal book interests to our extended book family.
The nearest franchise is located in Tifton, Georgia and our newest is in New Orleans, Louisiana.
